Welcome!
I am a Guarini Provost Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Government at Dartmouth College (2025–2027).
My research focuses on intergroup relations, identity politics, immigration, and diaspora, with particular attention to the sources of between-group and within-group conflict and the conditions under which these conflicts can be reduced. Across American and comparative politics, I study how prejudice among majority natives toward ethnic minority immigrants can be reduced through cross-cultural contact, why some immigrant-origin citizens come to support restrictive anti-immigrant policies after settlement, and how diaspora return can generate conflict between returnees and co-ethnic host populations.
Substantively, my regional focus is the United States, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. Methodologically, I use mixed methods, including survey and field experiments, original survey data collection, and qualitative research.
I received my Ph.D. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2025.
